New image processing software saves hours for Curacao's Dolphin Academy customers and staff - and it's fun too! Dolphin Academy's professional photographers shoot hundreds of digital images and hours of video of visitors each day. And, after their once in a lifetime experience at the Dolphin Academy, visitors usually want to buy a great, personalised memento of their day.
The Dolphin Academy asked Papiamedia to improve the whole image processing, ordering and production process, as it was a slow, time consuming process and highly prone to human error. Papiamedia's solution was to write an application to run on the computers at The Dolphin Academy reception. Once the photographers have downloaded their images onto the main server, customers select their own images from any of the computers at their leisure, using touch screen technology for simplicity. Customers build their own shopping carts of images and souvenirs, and the production and checkout processes are now fully automated.This new application saves time, reduces errors - and turns what was previously a laborious process into a fun experience for the customers. |
